Here at Trails of Freedom we’re all about remote locations and getting out into the wilds… it’s not just something we do, it’s our passion! But being miles away from civilization comes with one major problem: who do you turn to if something goes wrong? If you or a member of your hiking group needs medical attention, would you know what to do?
With this in mind, Trails of Freedom President, Leigh Anne Crocco, is currently attending an in-depth course to be certified as a Wilderness First Responder. According to the National Outdoor Leadership School, the Wilderness First Responder course “trains participants to respond to emergencies in remote settings” and is “designed specifically to provide you with the tools to make critical medical and evacuation decisions in remote locations”.
The WFR course is being hosted in Milledgeville, Georgia, where Leigh Anne managed to snap this photograph of picturesque Lake Laurel at sunrise.
