A transcript of the above video:
“Trails of Freedom began as four broke college kids looking for a cheap escape from the everyday grind of work and school. John, Avi, Sabrina and myself decided to hike and camp our way across the island of Maui. Somewhere between hiking across volcano floors and leaping off of waterfalls, we discovered a passion for the outdoors, and that became the foundation for Trails of Freedom.
While back home on the east coast, my friend Jordan and I took a week long trip up to Maine. This would be our first real introduction into filming outdoor video documentaries. Standing atop the summit of Mount Katahdin, Jordan understood that same need and want for outdoor adventure. From that moment on, he was hooked.
It was only a short time after that I had met Justin and Mary. Having seen our videos from Maine, they were excited to share their own expertise and experiences with the rest of us. This pairing would complete what is now the core of Trails of Freedom.
We all come from very different backgrounds, but we all share one common passion. We all had one defining moment where we realized that this, everything that Trails of Freedom stands for, is what we want to do for the rest of our lives. And it is this feeling that we are committed to sharing with others.”
